In addition to general repair work, there is a growing demand for us to make individual adjustments to instruments. This is particularly true of tuba tuning. This work ranges from providing a removable bell to make it easier to transport the instrument to providing additional valves or even renewing the complete valve unit, subsequently inserting a tuning slide with a trigger for intonation purposes, attaching register keys or improving the overall feel of the instrument by moving the position of the mouthpiece, finger rings or finger hooks.
We examine the feasibility of every request and carry out the task by working closely with the musician and master instrument maker.
