Gastspiel der Sächsischen Staatsoper Dresden in Tokyo und Yokohama im November 2007
Nach mehr als 25 Jahren ist die Sächsische Staatsoper Dresden mit einem Gastspiel wieder in Japan zu Gast.

Der Rolls Royce des Fiscornos
A partir d'una iniciativa personal d'en Jordi Estartus neix el 2006 un nou fiscorn fabricat de manera artesana a Alemanya per la casa Jurgen Voight, aquest fiscorn es una copia millorada dels prestigiosos fiscorns de la marca Omniphon els quals es van deixar de fabricar ara de fer un 50 anys o mes.
La iniciativa es va dur a terme per la manca en el mercat d'instruments nous de qualitat quasi sempre produïda mes per les ganes de guanyar diners que per donar qualitat, se sap de sobres que mai serà un negoci produir fiscorns a curt termini, nomes es toca a Catalunya.
Desprès de moltes proves es va arribar l'instrument que ja es comercialitza, el qual s'ha de demanar per encàrrec ja que no se'n fa producció si no que els fan un per un completament a ma.
4 característiques que el diferencien son: Molt poc pes, afinació quasi perfecte (l'afinació perfecte no existeix en instruments de metall i menys en instruments afinats en Do), d'execució molt fàcil i agraïda en tots els registres i una maquinaria excel·lent (Poc recorregut i ajustada a la perfecció).

Jörg Wachsmuth, solo tuba player
with the Dresden Philharmonic,
plays our cimbasso in F.
Jörg Wachsmuth was born in Bad Frankenhausen (Thuringia) in 1966.
He learned the drums, piano and tuba during his schooldays.
He took part in the national talent competition in Neubrandenburg in East Germany in 1983 and won a silver medal. He then studied this instrument at the “Hanns Eisler” Conservatory in Berlin from 1983 to 1987. He studied in Prof. Dietrich Unkrodt’s master class.
