OUR WORKSHOP
Jürgen Voigt set up his workshops for making brass instruments in 1988. He learned his trade from his uncle Horst Voigt. Having gained his professional experience at the former brass instrument manufacturer B&S in Markneukirchen (he was trained to make bells for brass instruments), he was ambitious enough to combine his skilled craftsmanship with industrial expertise.

Equipped in this way, he first produced high-quality brass instruments on his own, then later with an assistant and two trainees. His work always incorporated the latest developments in instrument making and musicians’ wishes, so he tried to use modern techniques and improve his craftsman’s skills.
These challenges made it necessary for him to move into modern, large workshops in 1995.

Since that time, all the Voigt instruments with valves and bells have been produced using parts made by the company.

As specialists in manufacturing components and accessories, we are able to meet customer requirements to the letter. Our instrument makers are supported by the company’s own tool making shop.

We not only make instruments with high-quality craftsmanship, individually tailored to customer requirements, but also produce more than 500 components for brass instruments. These include valve mechanisms and bells as well as tools for making brass instruments.
At this juncture we should not forget the traditional Saxon shawms, which were created in Markneukirchen; we have been manufacturing and repairing these instruments since 1995. We are not only keen to continue this tradition, but also introduce innovative ideas suggested by our customers.
